THORChain Mainnet Update to Add More Options For the Network

Updated Saturday, June 12, 2021
EVENT ENDED
After introducing the Chaosnet earlier in 2021, THORChain  plans to do an upgrade to its mainnet which hopes to revolutionize the DeFi space by eliminating third-party custodians. The upgrade will bring in the ASGARDEX platform Cross-chain DEX/wallet, it will allow for unlimited staking and no caps. Besides, it will also introduce the ETH/ERC20 swaps among others.

Factors Affecting RUNE Prices

The sentiment in the crypto market has a major impact on the price of RUNE. RUNE/USD was already bullish as a result of the sentiment being positive in the cryptocurrency market and gained further momentum after the release of the Chaosnet in April this year. It climbed to record highs above $22 by the middle of May, but reversed down as the entire market did at the end of May. Although, the new THORChain Mainnet update will help RUNE push higher, as it did in after the Chaosnet release. By that time though, the sentiment in the crypto market will have turned positive.
