Investor Confidence Improves in Europe, But Still Remains Negative

The consumer confidence, as well as the investor confidence have taken a big hit during the lock-down months, as life froze for three months or so. But, the confidence has started to come back as the Eurozone has reopened, although it still remains negative. The unemployment report form Switzerland was also released earlier this morning, showing a slight cool-off, which is impressive, since it was already quite low at 3.3%.

  • August Sentix investor confidence -13.4 points against -15.1 expected
  • July Sentix investor confidence -18.2 points

Swiss Unemployment Rate Report for July

 

  • July unemployment rate 3.2% points against 3.2% expected
  • June unemployment rate 3.3%
  • Seasonally adjusted unemployment rate 3.3% vs 3.3% expected
