Forex Signals Brief for Feb 18: Jobless Claims Ahead

US Wrap

US markets were red for another day, making it two sessions in a row.

For me, I’ve been asking for quite a while, whether or not the momentum will finally slow down, but it appears its a bit like turning a ship around.

At the same time, the metals markets continue to be soft with GOLD tumbling in what is staggering price action. SILVER is holding up well on a relative basis, suggesting strong demand.

Meanwhile, all the attention continues to be on BTC as it took out $50,000 and keeps on pushing higher.

The Data Agenda

The focus today is well and truly on the US session with a host of interesting data.

For me, the key continues to be jobless claims and we are seeing this number trickle lower week on week.

The other interesting number will again be the WTI crude oil inventories, which comes on the back of the Texas freeze, which is interrupting production.

Forex Signal Update

The FX Leaders Team had a mixed session hitting 1 winner from 3 signals.

Silver – Pending Signal

SILVER is on my watch list at the moment and I am very bullish on this one. We just closed a winner here today.

DAX – Watching

The DAX has been struggling to break through resistance but could bounce again.

Cryptocurrency Update

BTC is through the $50,000 level as the attention grows by the minute and it seems everyone is piling on.

I am still very dubious at the moment and more than happy to miss the party in favour of other coins.

If the day comes that Satoshi Nakamoto is proved to be the CIA/CCP, I wouldn’t be shocked.
