Brexit hardliner Boris Johnson won the competition to head Britain’s governing Conservative Party and will be replacing Theresa May on Wednesday by becoming the British next Prime Minister. His main task is going to be to fulfill his promise to lead the UK out of the European Union “come what may.”

He succeeds Prime Minister Theresa May, who declared her resignation last month, and he will formally become Britain’s Prime Minister on Wednesday, July 24.
