US stock indexes charged into record highs again as sentiment was buoyed by upbeat economic data. The Dow Jones Industrial Average DOW jumped 267 points (+0.9%) to 29297, the S&P 500 SPX rose 27 points (+0.8%) to 3316 and the Nasdaq Composite was up 98 points (+1.1%) to 9357.
Shares in Semiconductors & Semiconductor Equipment (+1.59%), Technology Hardware & Equipment (+1.4%) and Software & Services (+1.34%) sectors led the market higher. Morgan Stanley gained 6.6% and Charles Schwab rose 4.0%, while Bank of New York Mellon slumped 7.8% and Tesla declined by 1.0%.
