Andre Cronje is a software developer who has made significant contributions to the Decentralized Finance (DeFi) community. The South African is a fintech expert who chairs the Technology Council of South Korea’s Fantom Foundation.

Andre Cronje is not like the rest of the cryptocurrency influencers. He did not create the blockchain, and he is not a mysterious character who goes by a pen name. Neither is he a YouTube star with 100,000 followers who advises you on which cryptocurrency to buy.

He developed the well-known yearn.finance and Keep3rV1 protocols. He also has a hand in other relevant decentralized financial ventures, through mergers and alliances. Andre is also a code reviewer and a shareholder at CryptoBriefing.

The software architect has a unique approach to new projects, as stated in his Twitter bio, “I test in prod.” According to his LinkedIn profile page, Cronje also has also been working as a Technical Advisor for the smart contract platform, Fantom, for more than two and a half years.

He first launches the product and then fixes the bugs as he goes along. Crypto investors throw caution to the wind and invest in Cronje’s items before he has completed the required testing.

Let us delve deeper into his accomplishments.

Quick Overview of Andre Cronje’s Yearn.Finance Project

Yearn Finance is a Decentralized Finance (DeFi) product suite that aims to create yields on smart contract platforms, such as Ethereum. The protocol is managed by a group of independent developers and is overseen by YFI holders.

Yearn’s primary products, its governance process and its connections to active communication channels, are described briefly below.

Core Products

  • Vaults – Capital pools that generate yields automatically, based on market opportunities. Users profit from vaults by socializing gas costs, automating yield creation and rebalancing, and automatically relocating cash when opportunities emerge. Neither do end users need to thoroughly understand the underlying protocols or DeFi, making the vaults a passive investment strategy
  • Earn – Yearn’s first product was a lending aggregator. As interest rates fluctuate between these protocols, funds are automatically transferred between dYdX, AAVE and Compound. Users can fund these loan aggregator smart contracts using the Earn page. This software optimizes the interest accrual process for end-users, ensuring that they always receive the highest interest rates among the platforms listed above
  • Governance – The original Yearn product was a lending aggregator. As interest rates vary between these protocols, funds are automatically transferred between dYdX, AAVE and Compound. Users can deposit into these loan aggregator smart contracts via the Earn page. This software thoroughly optimizes the interest accrual process for end-users, ensuring that they always receive the highest interest rates among the platforms listed above

Quick Overview of Andre Cronje’s  Network

Keep3r Network is a decentralized keeper network for projects that require external DevOps and external teams looking for keeper roles.

What is Keeper?

Keeper is a term used to represent external individuals and/or teams who perform a task. This can be as simple as initiating a transaction or as complicated as requiring substantial off-chain processing. The scope of the Keep3r network is not to administer these jobs directly, but to enable contracts to designate as jobs for keepers, and keepers to register themselves as available to complete jobs. It is up to the individual keeper to configure their DevOps and infrastructure and design their own rules, based on whatever transactions they feel are profitable.

How to Make an Investment in Yearn.Finance and the Keep3R Network

You have two alternatives if you decide to invest in Yearn.Finance. You can either go to www.yearn.finance, and invest your cryptocurrency in liquidity and lending pools to get a return, or you can profit from the price movement of the YFI token, which also allows you to vote on governance issues (which is the real reason why the token was invented in the first place).

If you want to hold the token in your investment portfolio, keep in mind that both Keep3er and the YFI token are cryptocurrencies that operate on the Ethereum network. This means that you must first own Ethereum before exchanging it for YFI or Keep3r.

Fantom Foundation Position

Andre Cronje is the chairperson of the Fantom Foundation’s Technology Council, based in Seoul, South Korea. The foundation is a firm comprised of blockchain development and integration expertise. The professionals come from a variety of fields, including engineering, science, research and entrepreneurship.

Fantom codes interact with several open-system components. The computer software corporation has a clear objective of creating technological solutions that are scalable, decentralized and secure. In accordance with its mission, its team of professionals is decentralized and drawn from all around the world.

Mergers and Partnerships by Andre Cronje

Andre Cronje’s yearn.finance has gone into a number of alliances and mergers with DeFi protocols. The founder of yearn.finance envisioned expanding his pioneer effort to include other smaller DeFi projects and make his project more significant.
