New York / Hong Kong / London (CNN Business): With global stocks and US futures rising Monday, new figures say efforts to control the coronavirus epidemic may begin in Spain, Italy, and New York.

Australia’s S&P / ASX200 and Japan’s Nikkei 225 (N225) increased by 4% and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index (HSI) increased by 2.2%. Markets in mainland China were closed for a public holiday. European stocks rally in early trade. The FTSE 100 (UKX) added more than 3% in open common, while Germany’s DAX (DAX) was up 4.2% and France’s CAC (CAC40) increased by 3.5%.
