Rario, a cricket-based digital collectibles platform, has integrated with Polygon Studios, Polygon’s new department that focuses on gaming and NFT hubs, to facilitate web 3.0 gaming. It has been funded with $100 million to speed up mainstream exposure of NFT projects. This collaboration will benefit Rario users, making transactions quicker and hassle-free.
Non-fungible token (NFT) trading cards and mementos are now famous in every major sport, from basketball and soccer to football. They allow every fan to collect and trade their favorite moments in each sport. And now, the time has come for cricket fans too.
Rario, an officially licensed cricket NFT program, has already collaborated with global cricket leagues, particularly Lank Premier League and the Caribbean Premier League, as well as star cricketers, like Zaheer Khan, Faf Du Plessis, Shakib Al Hasan, Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma, allow fans to have the most iconic and legendary moments in the history of cricket. Being the second-most popular sport worldwide, after soccer, there are around 2.5 billion cricket fans in the world, and India, as one of the biggest markets, implies big potential for the future sales of cricket NFTs. It is believed that Rario will become the Sorare of soccer.
Polygon visions that Rario will become a great foundation for making NFT collectibles a blockbuster hit for cricket fans in India and across the world. Sports NFT platforms have been gaining popularity these days, with Dapper Labs’ NBA Top Shot having achieved over $700 million in sales in less than a year.
