Yuga Labs, one of the popular blockchain-powered company and the parent company behind the famous Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) and other NFT projects, announced that their Mailchimp account was hacked.

On a Twitter thread, Yuga labs stated that the hackers accessed their Mailchimp account but confirmed that no data have been exported. The attack includes several MailChimp accounts, mainly from the people doing email campaigns. Yuga Labs also assured to contact each affected user via their official email address (@yugalabs.io) if there’s any data breach. The good thing is, they confirmed that no NFT was affected by this attack.

Yuga Labs also warns the community to still keep an eye out for potential attacks including fake announcements, DM requests for private information, or surprise mints. This is why it’s important to read through the smart contract before signing it and make sure to set up complex passwords and keep your seed phrase private.

Meanwhile, Yuga Labs have put a blacklist on several NFT marketplace that doesn’t support royalties. This includes LookRare, SudoSwap, NFTX, and Blur as they don’t support royalties on their Sewer Pass NFT.

Sewer Pass is an NFT that allows users to have an access to Yuga Lab’s Dookey Dash (an interactive skill-based game). Aside from this, the importance of royalties is to make sure that NFT creators profit every time their assets are sold on a marketplace. So moving forward, Sewer Pass NFT can no longer be purchased through LooksRare, SudoSwap, NFTX, and Blur. The NFT is still available for purchase through Opensea marketplace.
