On April 26, Solana Labs just announced a ChatGPT plugin that enables chatbot users to interact within the Solana blockchain. It would also allow users to transfer tokens, check wallet balances, and buy NFTs once the plugin becomes available.

The new ChatGPT plugin will work by retrieving information from online sources and interacting with third-party websites to respond to the commands requested by the user. The developer of the Solana blockchain has also announced that $1 million will be allocated for funding upcoming projects that support AI tools on the Solana network.

Solana Foundation sees that this integration will offer the opportunity to build new ideas with high throughput and scalability using artificial intelligence. They also believe that it would help the organization with improvement and growth further.

Since its launch in November 2022, ChatGPT has become a global hype accumulating over 100 million users in two months. At this stage, AI and crypto are just starting to work together to highly benefit each other.

However, not everyone in Solana is satisfied with this development. A user asked Solana via Twitter to focus on developing a “working bloc explorer” while others were asking what benefit this integration would bring to the ecosystem.

But despite the reactions, SOL is still one of the best-performing cryptocurrencies during the first quarter of this year.

Meanwhile, Binance also announced that they’re also integrating ChatGPT into Binance Academy calling it “Binance Sensei”. Users must ask the new AI mentor a specific question or set of keywords in which chatGPT will provide a 150-word concise summary for each user.
