Naspers Ltd (JSE: NPN) hit a new 52-week high of R532,978 as it rides the wave of investor confidence and solid fundamentals. The Johannesburg-based tech conglomerate is cashing in on its global investments and cost savings. Under new CEO Fabricio Bloisi, the company has added R550 billion to its market cap in 2025 – so the market is clearly backing its plan to close the valuation gap between its assets and share price.

For the year to March 2025, Naspers reported revenue of USD 7.23 billion (12.46% up year-on-year) and net income of USD 3.42 billion (19.84% up year-on-year). Analysts are still positive with 10.8% annual revenue growth and 19.8% annual earnings growth – driven by digital platforms and emerging markets.

Strategic Moves Support Bullish Sentiment

Investors took note of Naspers’ aggressive share buyback programme which saw 177,844 shares bought back between 28 April and 2 May at an average price of R4,922.54 per share. These buybacks are not only a sign of internal confidence but also a way to boost earnings per share and support price momentum.

CEO Bloisi’s strategy is to integrate more with Prosus, its internet investment vehicle and to be more operationally efficient. This will help with capital allocation and reduce the discount at which Naspers trades to its net asset value.

Key Highlights:

  • Revenue: USD 7.23 billion (+12.46% YoY)

  • Net Income: USD 3.42 billion (+19.84% YoY)

  • Earnings Growth Outlook: +19.8% annually

  • Revenue Growth Forecast: +10.8% annually

Technical Outlook: Bullish Above R528K

Naspers is in a strong uptrend. It’s trading above the 50-period EMA (R492,514) and key Fibonacci support (R498,763). The MACD histogram is positive with a bullish crossover in play – so it may go to R540,138 and potentially R560,450.
