The Pound is surging higher

In the last two hours the British Pound has gained about 150 pips against the USD although the USD has been in demand against other majors. This must be because EUR/GBP has dipped lower. It seems strange that the Pound is rallying now because the British employment data was positive earlier this morning but the Pound was little changed and only decided to make its move now.
