Labour’s Jeremy Corbyn Wants to Stop No-Deal Brexit

The UK politics have been in a mess in the last months and the mess is getting bigger as days go by. We have heard quite a few comments from all sides of British politics today, some who want to push ahead with Brexit, deal or no deal, like Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

The other side, the opposition, is trying to prevent such a scenario by bringing a new law forward, although I’m not sure if that’s legally correct since it would mess with the people’s vote. Anyway, Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn made a speech in the parliament just a while ago. Here are his comments:

  • Corbyn says he will attempt legislation next week to block Johnson’s suspension plan
  • Corbyn will then bring a vote of no-confidence at some point
  • Johnson needs to be held accountable by the parliament

I don’t know if the opposition can do such a thing; Johnson seems pretty confident in his words but nonetheless, the GBP climbed around 80 pips higher on hopes of an orderly Brexit. But, things are in motion so we will see how all this will end up.
