The murder of the British MP has disturbed the market

Yesterday was a tragic day in the UK as the member of parliament Jo Cox was stabbed to death. Some say she was shot, it´s not very clear but she passed away in the hospital yesterday. The murderer was a mental case according to some sources he shouted "Britain first" before shooting/stabbing her, so this makes it an anti-EU murder, if it makes sense, because the 41 year old mother of two was a pro-EU campaigner in the British parliament. But on the other hand, she defended many other righteous causes since her career started at Oxfam.

Rest in peace Jo

But anyway, it did happen and the both sides of the Brexit campaign decided to call the campaign off until tomorrow I think, nothing is really clear at the moment. The market took it as the Brexit referendum was going to be cancelled or postponed to an indefinite date and the Pound and the Euro both surged against the Dollar, wiping out all the losses yesterday. Well, that´s not going to happen, the referendum will take place on the 23rd so we think that this jump is a good opportunity to sell, hence our sell forex signal in GBP/USD.
