The Nikkei is getting a slight pop to the upside today on the back of what is a quiet one as we would expect. All the action comes later when Mario and Janet take the stage. For now though we might be able to find a short in the Nikkei.
If we can hit the 19500 area we run into resistance and a trendline. I particarly like to short the Nikkei when we get a really bearish candle to add to the other indicators. Now we might not have time in the day for that and I wouldn't be taking many trades ahead of the two big speakers, but keep an eye out if we can push up a touch as Japanese markets close for the day.
