There Is a New Coin from Tether You Need to Know about
Tether's new coin is called Alloy and will be a synthetic dollar that could be a game changer for the crypto industry.
The stablecoin Alloy (aUSDT) has been launched by Tether, and it is the first in a series of new assets to be produced by the world’s leading stablecoin.

Alloy is a synthetic dollar that will be linked to the US Dollar, just like Tether. Its value should change very little, making it a convenient cryptocurrency token to trade with and to store up digital currency through.
Tether is setting up a new platform called Alloy by Tether, where Alloy coins can be minted. Tether Gold (XAUt) will be used to overcollateralize Alloy, but the token will still be linked to the US Dollar. The coin should copy the US Dollar’s functionality in many ways but not have its backing.
This new digital asset will use stabilization mechanisms that track reference prices of the linked asset, creating what is known as a tethered asset. This new asset will allow investors to keep their gold exposure and then use the tethered asset to conduct all of their daily payments.
More Uses for the Platform
There will be a number of assets that can be created with the new platform, and Tether is just getting started there. The goal is to help investors expand their portfolios as much as they like while keeping them on the same platform, so Tether plans to add different kinds of assets to appeal to their users’ wide range of investing needs.
Alloy is not the first of its kind as far as synthetic dollars go. There have been others, but this could be the biggest, with the help of Tether and its proprietary platform. Tether has grown to become one of the largest cryptocurrencies of all, leaving its past of inadequate backing behind and becoming recognized as a stable alternative to decentralized currencies like Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH).
