Quick overview

  • TON Strategy Company announced a $250 million stock buyback program to enhance shareholder value and grow its Toncoin treasury.
  • The buyback strategy allows for flexibility in capital allocation based on the stock's net asset value, with plans to repurchase shares or issue new ones accordingly.
  • With $780 million in assets, including $713 million in Toncoin, the company positions itself as a major institutional supporter of the Toncoin ecosystem.
  • This initiative aims to stabilize the stock price during market fluctuations while increasing exposure to both equity and cryptocurrency markets.

TON Strategy Company, formerly Verb Technology, announced a $250 million stock buyback program to increase shareholder value and grow its Toncoin treasury. The program allows the company to repurchase shares through open-market transactions or other methods permitted by securities laws.

Executive Chairman Manuel Stotz said flexibility in capital allocation. If the stock is below net asset value (NAV), TON Strategy will buy back shares. If the stock is above NAV, the company will issue shares to buy more Toncoin. “The repurchase program gives us a tool to optimize our treasury strategy while supporting shareholder returns,” Stotz said.

The buyback follows the company’s Nasdaq listing under TONX and a shift to digital assets. TON Strategy has $780 million in assets, $713 million in Toncoin and $67 million in cash, making it one of the largest institutional backers of the Toncoin ecosystem.

TONX and Toncoin

TONX has cooled off to around $12 after peaking at $15. Earlier in August, stock surged 100% after Toncoin accumulation announcements.

Toncoin is steady:

  • 24 hour price change 0.54% to $3.18
  • Institutional treasury strategies supporting token stability
  • Long term accumulation to back up ecosystem credibility

Analysts say this shows TON Strategy is balancing liquidity, risk and long term growth. By putting digital assets on its balance sheet, the company gives investors exposure to both equity and crypto markets.

Strategic Moves Amid Profit Challenges

The $250 million buyback also addresses TON Strategy’s profit volatility. The company is currently at -235.87% profit margin, navigating a down turn while increasing digital asset exposure.

AlphaTON Capital Corp, listed on Nasdaq, launched a $100 million Toncoin treasury and raised $38.2 million in private placements and $35 million BitGo Prime loan. This is a broader institutional trend of Toncoin as a long term treasury asset.

TON Strategy’s stock buyback and cryptocurrency accumulation offers dual benefits:

  • Supports TONX price during market volatility
  • Increases Toncoin holdings, exposure to crypto growth
  • Flexibility in capital allocation based on NAV fluctuations.

As the market adapts to hybrid equity-crypto strategies, TON Strategy’s plan highlights the evolving intersection of traditional finance and digital assets.
