Well-known firms that influence markets, such as JPMorgan Chase & Co., Johnson & Johnson, Wells Fargo, Bitmine Immersion, and BlackRock, Inc., dominate Tuesday’s results schedule.

Markets Rebound as Risk Sentiment Improves

Global markets delivered a lively and broadly positive session, even as uncertainty lingered following JD Vance’s exit from Iran negotiations. Early trading in Asia saw the most significant moves, but sentiment steadily improved throughout the day as it became clear that tensions were not escalating further.

A key driver behind the recovery was the perception that active conflict was being avoided, with diplomacy still in play. Midday comments from Donald Trump added to the constructive tone, helping reinforce expectations that negotiations could continue.

Equities Reverse Sharply Higher

U.S. equity markets staged an impressive turnaround. S&P 500 futures initially dropped around 50 points but gradually reversed course, ending the session up approximately 70 points. The steady recovery reflected improving confidence as the day progressed.

Currency and Bond Markets Confirm Shift

The positive shift in sentiment was echoed across currency markets, with the euro and British pound gaining ground against the U.S. dollar. EUR/USD moved closer to pre-conflict levels, marking a significant rebound from recent lows.

In fixed income, U.S. yields declined, with the 2-year yield falling toward 3.77%. Comments from Austan Goolsbee also helped ease concerns, as he suggested looking beyond short-term oil price spikes.

Oil Prices Retreat from Highs

WTI Crude Oil also reflected improving sentiment, sliding to around $98 after reaching highs near $105.63 earlier in the session. The decline highlighted easing fears around immediate supply disruption.

Gold Rebounds Off the 200 SMA

Although demand for safe haven assets is still high, gold fell precipitously from record highs following the Fed’s most recent rate cut comments, as profit-taking was prompted by Powell’s cautious tone. In December, gold jumped above $4,380 following the Federal Reserve’s announcement of a 25 basis point rate decrease. But the impetus soon waned, and prices dropped back to $4,004. The 20o daily SMA (purple) held as support this week and buyers returned and pushed XAU above the $4,500 and above the 100 SMA (gray).

USD/JPY Rebounds

Foreign exchange markets saw sharp swings. Early in the week, U.S. yield differentials and Japanese capital outflows pushed the dollar above ¥150, but disappointing U.S. jobs data triggered profit-taking, causing the USD/JPY to slide by four yen from its peak. However, the new BOJ governor the JPY has weakened and USD/JPY soared to 154 and we decided to close our buy signal for more than 80 pips as the pair found support at the 20 daily SMA (gray) and has rebounded more than 200 pips off that MA but reversed after the 25 bps rate cut from the FED. The price approached $160 but reversed after the BOJ meeting and fell 8 cents but found support at $152 at the 100 daily SMA (red) and rebounded above 156 but have reversed down again this week after the Japanese elections.Chart USDJPY, D1, 2026.03.09 22:33 UTC, MetaQuotes Ltd., MetaTrader 5, Demo
