Anthropic, the business that makes the popular Claude family of massive language models, is now worth an incredible $183 billion after finishing a $13 billion Series F investment round, the company said on Tuesday. The value is more than three times what it was in January 2025, when the company was worth about $60 billion.

Venture capital firms ICONIQ Capital, Fidelity Management & Research Company, and Lightspeed Venture Partners co-led the huge investment round. It drew in a lot of institutional investors, making it look like a who’s who of Wall Street. Some of the biggest players were Altimeter, Baillie Gifford, BlackRock-affiliated funds, Blackstone, Goldman Sachs Growth Equity, Jane Street, T. Rowe Price Investment Management, and Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan.
Anthropic’s Explosive Revenue Growth Drives Investor Confidence
The high value is backed up by similarly remarkable financial numbers. Anthropic’s revenue run rate has jumped from about $1 billion at the start of 2025 to more than $5 billion by August, a fivefold gain in just eight months. This development path puts Anthropic among the fastest-growing tech companies in history, less than two years after Claude’s first launch in March 2023.
The company now has more than 300,000 business customers, and its big accounts—those that bring in more than $100,000 a year—have grown by almost seven times in the past year. This business use has been especially strong in the financial services and cryptocurrency sectors, where Claude’s ability to analyze data is being used to keep an eye on compliance and analyze the market in real time.
Claude Code Emerges as Developer Favorite
Claude Code, the company’s command-line tool for agentic coding that came out in full in May 2025, has been a big reason for Anthropic’s recent success. The platform has already made more than $500 million in run-rate income, and usage has grown more than 10 times in just three months. This quick uptake by developers shows how much more software development teams need AI-powered coding help.
Divesh Makan, a partner at ICONIQ Capital, which led the fundraising round, stated, “Enterprise leaders tell us what we’re seeing firsthand—Claude is reliable, built on a trustworthy foundation, and guided by leaders truly focused on the long term.”
Anthropic AI’s Cryptocurrency Industry Integration
Anthropic’s apps are used in many other fields, but they have been especially popular in the cryptocurrency market. Coinbase and Crypto.com, two of the biggest exchanges, have added Claude models to their systems. Coinbase employs Claude to improve customer service and internal processes. Crypto.com uses Claude 3 models with Amazon Bedrock to do real-time sentiment research across worldwide marketplaces.
Experts in the field say that cryptocurrency companies that work in 24/7 marketplaces need AI tools like Claude to help them stay compliant with regulations and manage risk. Automated compliance monitoring and anomaly identification are very important for these companies.
Looking Ahead: What’s Next for Anthropic and Claude AI?
The Series F investment will help Anthropic grow its business to meet the needs of more businesses, do more research on safety, and assist its growth into other countries. The corporation keeps talking about how important it is to make “reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems.” This focus on AI safety has become a critical way for the company to stand apart in a sector that is getting more and more competitive.
With this round of funding, Anthropic becomes a prominent player in the AI field, going up against OpenAI and other cutting-edge AI businesses. The company’s focus on reliability and safety for businesses seems to be connecting with both institutional customers and investors. This sets the way for ongoing expansion in the fast changing field of artificial intelligence.
