At the time we are writing this article, the stock is trading at $953.13, showing a 0.59 percent gain in the last 24 hours. Despite this gain, the stock is still below its record high of $1,096.

Moreover, the reason for its modest bullish performance can be attributed to the strong total sales of the company. As per the report, the company made 29.24 billion dollars in sales in the month of June. Although the gains in the stock were limited as the growth in older stores was lower than expected.

Strong Sales Show the Company Is Growing Well

Meanwhile, the sales of existing stores increased by 8.8 percent, in which US stores showed 10.6 percent growth as well as online sales increased at a good rate by 20.9 percent. During the Quarter 3 report, total revenue was 70.53 billion dollars (net sales of 69.15 billion dollars plus membership fees), which increased by 11.6 percent.

In the meantime, GAAP net income was $2.19 billion ($4.93 diluted EPS), which is a good increase compared to last year. Operating income reached $2.82 billion.

Most importantly, the highest revenue comes from the Food and Sundries category (approximately 40 percent share). Membership fees were also strong at $1.37 billion. These strong sales and membership income have helped the company generate strong free cash flow. During the first 36 weeks, operating cash flow was $11.13 billion.
