US Willing if Iran Wants to Make a Nuclear Deal
US President Trump has acknowledged a possibility of exploring a deal with Iran regarding its nuclear program. Trump went on to state, “It has a chance to be a great country with the same leadership. We aren’t looking for regime change — I just want to make that clear. We are looking for no nuclear weapons.”
Trump’s comments on Iran were made during a news conference in Tokyo with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. He also attributed recent attacks in the Middle East to Iran, stating that these attacks were in reaction to sanctions imposed by the US which were creating serious economic problems for Iran.
On Saturday, US national security adviser John Bolton stated that the US had credible intelligence on threats posed by Iran. Iran, on its part, has denied that it had any role in the recent bombings, adding that it will defend itself against any possible upcoming military or economic aggression.
