The Argentine government hopes that the meeting will conclude with announcements of trade and financial agreements to support the national economy. There is speculation that the two sides could formalize tariff reductions on around 100 export-import categories, with rates ranging from 0% to 10%.
Officials also anticipate a statement of support from the U.S. Treasury as part of the broader economic aid package—an issue that has already generated significant expectations in recent weeks.
