The Swiss SECO just released the consumer climate report as per which consumer sentiment in Switzerland remains slightly above average.


The Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) just released the consumer climate report as per which consumer sentiment in Switzerland remains slightly above average.

Despite less promising forecasts regarding the economy in general, the standpoint for the labor market and consumers’ own budget has grown.

The survey which commenced in January 2019 shows a positive sentiment among Swiss consumers since, at -4 points. The consumer sentiment index remains above its long-term average (-9 points).

In contrast with previous October (-6 points), the sentiment has remained steady overall, with flashes of recovery and of a slowdown broadly balanced.
