Brave is a privacy-enabled and crypto-friendly browser that allows users to block ads, cookie browsers and trackers. Its BAT token is used as part of the reward program in the Brave ecosystem, and it is exchanged between users, creators, advertisers and publishers. Its latest upgrade offers a native cryptocurrency wallet for Ethereum-based projects. More than 40 million users can now access decentralized apps (dApps) built on Ethereum Layer 2 and other EVM-based blockchains, like xDai and Polygon. 

Users can also store NFTs, buy, sell and trade cryptocurrencies, check live and previous market graphs and take advantage of the Web3 experience. CTO and co-founder of Brave, Brian Bondy, has implied that users will no longer need to download browser extensions to use the wallet, resulting in fewer security contingencies and performance penalties from the usual browser extensions.  Brave also states that Web3 wallet browser extensions are more prone to hacks and other attacks. There have been previous reports that hackers can gain access to users’ private keys through fake web extensions. 

Brave Wallet will only be used in a desktop browser to begin with, and it will soon be available for mobile users, mainly on Android. Brave has also announced future integration with Solana, as Solana will be its default blockchain support for decentralized apps (dApps) next year. Brave’s privacy-oriented features and strong security measures for cryptocurrencies will provide its massive community, and anyone who prioritizes security for their digital assets, with a convenient, futuristic and highly secured digital asset storage option.
