Will European Stocks Trade Higher Today?

Tuesday was a good day for Wall Street as indices climbed higher and ended the session in green. The Asian session on Wednesday was subsequently positive too, with stocks in Asia-Pacific climbing higher on the optimism from the previous day.

Stock markets received a boost after Fed Chair Powell hinted at the Fed intervening to ease monetary policies if economic conditions continue to deteriorate. This caused a renewed interest among investors towards stocks.

If this continues into today’s European session, we could expect a good day of trading in European indices as well. However, composite and services PMI figures are due from the Euro area later today, which could weigh on the stock markets.

For now, the FTSE is trading at around 7236 while German DAX just under the 12000 level.
