Javier Milei welcomes Antony Blinken to Argentina to discuss the economic agenda.

The President of Argentina will receive the American official, who is in South America as part of his presence at the G20 in Brazil.

On Friday, President Javier Milei will be holding a meeting with the Secretary of State of the United States, Antony Blinken, who arrived in Buenos Aires on Thursday night from Brazil after a whirlwind tour of Latin America.

On Friday night, the President is scheduled to depart for the United States, where he will speak at an economic congress, coinciding with the former president of that country, Donald Trump.

Amidst a strong police operation, the Secretary of State of the United States, Antony Blinken, arrived at Casa Rosada for his meeting with President Javier Milei and was welcomed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Diana Mondino.

The United States consistently opts for Brazil when crafting its regional roadmap, but Lula da Silva approached China and Russia, in addition to likening the Israeli government to Nazi Germany for its offensive in Gaza.

In this geopolitical context, Joseph Biden believes that Milei could replace Lula in a scenario conditioned by Beijing’s offensive, the activity of terrorist groups operating in the Middle East, and social and economic instability.

Blinken will meet with Milei “to reaffirm shared interests and expand cooperation in trade, critical minerals, human rights, and security,” states the press release issued by the Department of State last night.

From the Oval Office of the White House, it is observed that Brazil and Colombia are drawing closer to Xi and Vladimir Putin, while questioning the United States’ foreign policy in the face of attacks by terrorist organizations.
Milei is aligned with these interests of the United States in Latin America and aligns with Biden regarding the defense of Israel, condemnation of Russia for its invasion of Ukraine, and criticism of Nicolás Maduro for the systematic repression of opposition leaders in Venezuela.
