Social media star and former professional kickboxer Andrew Tate recently announced his intention to abandon fiat money and invest over $100 million in Bitcoin (BTC). This move follows his outspoken support for Bitcoin as the only viable monetary and investment option.

Tate criticized traditional banks and their financial practices, describing them as fraudulent schemes. He declared his plan to transition entirely from fiat currency to Bitcoin, sharing this decision in a post on X on May 15. Tate admitted he hasn’t made the move yet because he currently holds more cryptocurrency than fiat currency. However, he expressed his growing dissatisfaction with fiat money, which he has referred to as a “fiat ponzi scam cash that you self-enslave to earn.”

Andrew Tate, a well-known supporter of decentralized finance (DeFi), recently declared his intention to invest over $100 million in Bitcoin (BTC). He has previously criticized the US dollar, real estate, and other investments susceptible to government seizure, promoting Bitcoin as the only viable alternative.

Tate had earlier expressed plans to buy $10 million in Bitcoin, with his estimated net worth ranging between $4 million and $12 million. Most of his wealth comes from assets like luxury cars he owns with his brother Tristan Tate. He claims to have earned around $85 million from “DeFi Land” during the last bull run and has been consistently buying Bitcoin since 2018.

At the time of writing, Bitcoin was priced at $66,179, showing a 6.43% recovery in the last 24 hours, an 8.27% weekly gain, and a 4% monthly increase, according to data from May 16.
