Glassnode company has published a report on 20th May in which it has made some revelations regarding Bitcoin safety. According to the report, approximately 6.04 million bitcoins are standing in a stage of risk because all of these bitcoins’ public keys are at this time visible on the blockchain, and in the future this could become a very big problem for investors. We explain to you how.
Bitcoin Quantum Future Risk
As you all know, in the future, quantum computers are going to come, which are considered very powerful machines that can solve very large mathematical problems in a matter of seconds compared to normal computers. So those computers can use these public keys and steal your money, and this is the reason why this Glassnode report has warned us that we should improve our habits.

If we talk about the present time, there is no such quantum computer that exists which can break the security of Bitcoin because for this thousands of special stable parts would be required, which at the moment does not seem possible. But in the future, this may become possible, and that is why we should improve our habits from now, such as using a new address every time and using the wallet properly.
In addition to this, the remaining bitcoins, 13.99 million, which make up 70 percent of the total bitcoins, are still safe, and their keys are still hidden from this world, which is a very good thing for the Bitcoin world.
Bitcoin Safety Warning for Future
The Glassnode report is not saying that Bitcoins will be stolen tomorrow. It is just a warning to us that we can improve our habits so that in the future everyone’s money remains safe. Even experts have warned that Bitcoin’s security should adopt stronger safety methods so that we can protect ourselves from future risks, because changing the whole system takes time, so it should be started now.
