DSD Merchandisers, LLC is recalling select Deluxe Roasted & Salted Mixed Nuts citing the presence of undeclared peanut, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration said.

The recall involves Deluxe Roasted & Salted Mixed Nuts with UPC 6-51433-99651-6 and Sell by date of 10/09/24.

The product is packaged in clear plastic tubs that contain 5oz product, a mix of various tree nuts including Cashews, Almonds, Hazelnuts, Pecan Halves, Macadamia and the undeclared ingredient -Peanut.

The impacted product is sold to Farm Fresh to You who then distributes through E-commerce through Farm Fresh to You or Full and/or Full Circle subscribers.

Farm Fresh to You subscribers are located in California & Nevada, while Full Circle subscribers are located in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Alaksa.

The recall was initiated after a consumer contacted DSD merchandisers through website to report they purchased product and found out the undeclared peanut.

The product label did not note Peanut on the Ingredient Statement nor the Allergen Statement portion of the label. Following the investigation, it was found out that the problem was caused by a temporary breakdown in the company’s formulation change processes and packaging label change process.

People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts may get serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.

In similar recalls, Texas Pecan Co. in May called back various nuts, snack mixes, seeds, and snack sticks in 1 Lb and 8 oz sizes, citing the potential to contain undeclared peanut, tree nuts, soy, milk, sesame, and wheat allergens.
