NFT has been continuing its expansion and reach as more industries are moving forward to the digital landscape. Aside from art projects, known celebrities, fashion leaders, and gaming we see daily, the sports sector is also reaching out to its fans through NFT. The latest to join is the basketball legend Earvin “Magic” Johnson. His “The anthology: Magic Johnson”  NFT collection will be available soon. The all-time basketball superstar Magic Johnson won five championships in a span of three decades and has had an outstanding career in NBA.

Magic Johnson’s NFT collection will be launched on NBA Top Shot, a Vancouver-based Dapper Labs and NBA Players Association joint venture platform that was launched in July 2019. This platform uses the Flow blockchain that lets fans sell, buy and trade collectibles of videos and highlights.

“The anthology: Magic Johnson” NFT collection’s drop will begin on June 7 and will cost $399 each pack. The collection consists of a total of 1,600 NFT packs showing highlights from Johnson’s NBA career. 1,200 from the total NFT pack will be accessible to people with a Top Shot score of at least 150,000, while 400 will be open to being purchased by everyone else. 

Each NFT pack will have one of four Magic’s legendary moments while playing when their team, the Los Angeles Lakers, won the NBA Championship Title. Johnson played for the Los Angeles Lakers from 1979 up to 1996 and has won 5 championships in his three decades of playing. He won multiple personal and team awards while breaking countless records. There will also be Johnson’s moment NFT in either Legendary or Rare rarity level in every pack.
