Dapper Labs’ NBA Top Shot Sees Sales Rise After Latest Ad Campaign
One of the most successful collections of NFTs in the world, NBA Top Shot has seen a high level of interest over the past 30 days, registering a 72% jump in sales. This collection is widely attributed by several experts to have taken NFTs mainstream early last year, although its popularity did take a dive just before summer 2021 followed by a remarkable rebound.
According to data by Cryptoslam, NBA Top Shot sales touched $53.8 million in secondary market sales over the previous 30 days. One of the key reasons behind the surge could be the collection’s recent ad campaign over TV and social media featuring Kevin Durant.
The campaign is offering a free Durant NFT Moment™ for first time buyers of NBA Top Shot packs. The limited time offer will offer a free NFT which has been hand-picked and narrated by the sports star.
Users can also add their free NFTs from KD to a special and exclusive challenge to earn new prizes. The campaign has increased user interest in the collection and sent its sales soaring in the past few weeks, although there is no time limit till when this promo offer will run.
Meanwhile, following the stellar success of the NBA Top Shot collection, creators of the NFT – Dapper Labs, has diversified beyond NBA to launch UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) Strike digital collectibles on the Flow blockchain. In addition, at the end of the current season, the firm will also launch its much-awaited NFL equivalent of the collection.
